Driver Requirements

To join DitchRide as a driver, we require the following:

  • Own a Minivan or SUV (Model Year 2020 or Newer)

    Your vehicle must be a Minivan or SUV in good condition, preferably with plenty of space to ensure your passengers are comfortable.

  • Valid Driver’s License and Commercial Auto Insurance

    You must have a valid driver’s license and commercial auto insurance to drive for DitchRide.

  • Clean Driving Record and Background Check

    We prioritise the safety of our riders, so we require all drivers to have a clean driving record and undergo a background check.

  • Commitment to at Least 1–2 Round Trips per Week

    Drivers are expected to commit to 1–2 round trips per week, ensuring a steady flow of trips. We understand that flexibility is key, but a basic commitment to availability is necessary.

  • Smartphone Access for Managing Trips via the DitchRide Driver App

    Drivers must have access to a smartphone to manage bookings, track routes, and communicate with passengers via the DitchRide Driver App.
